Frigidaire dishwasher repair from the i-code up
When a Frigidaire dishwasher shows i30, a sensor has found water in the pan underneath the tub. Frigidaire's first suspects are a loose connection at the inlet valve and a machine that is not sitting level.

What is your Frigidaire dishwasher telling you?
| Code | Frigidaire's meaning | First thing to check |
|---|---|---|
| i10 | Low fill | A pinched supply line, or a shutoff valve that is only part open |
| i20, i40, iF0 | Clogged filters or a restricted drain | Glass trap and filter, a kinked hose, and the disposer knockout plug; see dishwasher not draining |
| i30 | Leak or overflow in the bottom pan | Inlet valve connections and leveling; see dishwasher leaking |
| i50 | Drain or wash motor problem | Cancel, or 5 min with the breaker off; if it returns, the motor needs testing |
| i60, iC0 | Water heating fault; electronic control fault | A power reset, then a heater or control diagnosis |
| Hd or HO | Heat delay, not a fault | Nothing. It is warming the water before it washes |
Does soft Oahu water change how a Frigidaire is dosed?
Yes, it usually means less detergent. A USGS survey found Hawaii public water generally below 120 mg/L hardness, soft to moderately hard, though those figures are decades old. Frigidaire's chart starts soft water at about 2 teaspoons for Heavy or Normal and warns that overdosing soft water etches glass with a film that never wipes off. Cloudy glasses here are often too much soap, not a failing pump. Water temperature matters too: Frigidaire wants 120°F at the door, and colder supply simply makes the cycle run longer.

Frigidaire dishwasher faults, and what they usually are
Frigidaire models without a display talk through their status lights instead of codes. These are the patterns worth knowing before you call.
Two lights flashing
Hi-Temp Wash and Heat Dry blinking together mean the power dropped. START/CANCEL clears it.
Drains, lights blink
A drain followed by flashing status lights can mean a shorted keypad. Five minutes unpowered may clear it.
Will not fill
The overfill float in the left front corner should rise and fall about an inch. Stuck means no water.
Dishes come out wet
With no dry option picked, the heater stays off for drying. Choose Heat Dry and keep rinse aid topped up.
Leak at the door
Frigidaire checks that the gasket sits in its channel, reaches the tub bottom and the unit is level.
Pink or orange tub
Tomato-heavy loads tint the liner. Frigidaire says it fades and does not hurt performance.
