Thermador range and stove repair on Oahu
On a Thermador Pro Harmony dual fuel range, the burner spark reignition module runs on 120 VAC, so the range needs a true 120/240 supply, not just 240. We repair these ranges, their rangetop cousins and the circuits behind them.

Where are the wiring diagrams on a Thermador range?
In the toe kick area at the bottom front, where Thermador stores the wiring diagrams and schematics. Leave them there. They travel with the range, and a technician reaches for them first when tracing an electrical fault on a Pro Harmony. The installation manual also asks for about four feet of free cord or conduit behind the range. That slack lets it slide out of the cutout for service.

Why does a heavy Thermador still need an anti-tip bracket?
Because any range can tip, whatever it weighs. Thermador's manual says every 30 and 36 in model must be secured with its bracket. CPSC estimates about 1,700 emergency-room injuries a year from appliances tipping, and it counted 13 deaths from 2000 through 2008 tied to stoves, ovens and ranges, many of them young children. If a range has been pulled out for cleaning or a repair, check that the bracket is engaged again before anyone cooks on it.
