KitchenAid oven F codes and the parts behind them
| Code | What KitchenAid suspects | What happens next |
|---|---|---|
| F1 | The oven temperature sensor, the control board, or the wiring that links them | Breaker off for one minute, back on, then watch one more minute |
| F5 | The door latch assembly or the latch switches | The latch and its switches get tested if the reset fails |
| F2 E0, F3 E0, F4, FC E1 to E9 | Keypad, upper cavity sensor, cavity control, app connection | The full table is on our KitchenAid oven repair page |
Why does a KitchenAid set to 350 show 325 after preheat?
Usually because convection conversion is doing its job: on models with the feature, the oven lowers a standard recipe temperature for convection baking. A display reading Sab, 5A6 or 5Ab is a different case, Sabbath Mode, and neither one is a failed part. Both are explained on our KitchenAid oven repair page.
