Identify it

Is your Wolf gas range an R or a GR?

Look at the grates and the light switch to tell. An R Series range gives each burner its own grate and uses a black toggle for the light. A GR Series puts one grate over two burners and has a stainless push button. On R Series ranges and RT rangetops, the serial tag is under the leftmost burner pan, on the side wall of the burner box. Older ranges such as the AS30K1 may carry it on the right. Not every Wolf tag prints a manufacture date.

About Wolf

Sub-Zero Group, Inc., the Madison company that also owns Sub-Zero and Cove, has owned Wolf since 2000.
In 2006. That first model paired gas burners on top with electric dual convection ovens below.
Ranges, cooktops and wall ovens, plus warming drawers and ventilation hoods. Each wall oven family, Legacy E Series, M Series and L Series, has its own use and care guide, and so do the dual fuel and gas ranges. Our Wolf oven page covers the wall ovens in detail.
Yes. A warming drawer runs on a heating element and a control, and Wolf lists both electric heating elements and electronic control boards among the parts with limited coverage through year five.
No, gas burners are on the five-year list, but appearance is excluded.

Recalls and visits

Only dual fuel ranges with an infrared griddle are involved, in 36, 48 or 60 inch widths. Compare your serial number against the two ranges CPSC published: 18517201 to 18868311 and 10006001 to 10006009. On those models the rating plate is under the top of the oven. A match goes to the maker's recall program, not a regular repair.
Wolf does not print a manufacture date on every tag. The model and serial numbers still identify the unit for parts and warranty.
The 48-inch gas models P48, PS48 and R48, where the 18-inch oven could light late and push out a flash of flame.
The product type and series, gas or dual fuel, and a photo of the serial tag. For a gas range, say whether the grates are one per burner or shared, since that settles R or GR. Add any message on the display and what the unit did just before it stopped.
Yes, mention both when you book so the right parts information is pulled for each.
