Liebherr freezer repair
Two dashes on a Liebherr freezer display after start-up or a power cut are not a fault. The readout shows only temperatures below freezing, and getting there takes about three to five hours. We fix the faults that remain.

What a Liebherr freezer is trying to say
Liebherr freezers talk through lights, alarms and the display. Some messages clear on their own and some need us. For warm-freezer causes shared by every brand, use the problem pages linked below.
Power failure light
The freezer warmed during an outage. Press the alarm button to see the highest temperature it reached.
Alarm and flashing
Liebherr names warm food just added, too much air let in while sorting, or a real fault.
SuperFrost still on
It runs at full output and shuts itself off after roughly 30 to 65 hours, depending on load.
Frost on the food
On NoFrost models moisture should freeze on the evaporator, not the food, and melt away on its own cycle.
Display stuck on dashes
Normal for the first hours. Still dashes long after that window means the cabinet is not cooling.
Column ice maker idle
Monolith columns use a plumbed IceMaker. Low line pressure or a closed valve stops it first.

Four widths, one design
Each Monolith freezer column defrosts automatically and has a plumbed ice maker. Width and model year change the energy figures and some parts.
| Model | Width | Yearly energy | Notes | Newer version |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MF 1851 | 18 inch | 412 kWh | Narrowest column | MF x61 series from 2025 |
| MF 2451 | 24 inch | See the model plate | Mid-size column | MF x61 series from 2025 |
| MF 3051 | 30 inch | 528 kWh | 15.2 cu ft, about 392 lb, three FrostSafe drawers | MF 3061 at 486 kWh |
| MF 3651 | 36 inch | See the model plate | Widest column | MF 3661 at 535 kWh |
How we approach a Monolith freezer
Bracket
Each column is raised on its feet, up to 1 inch of travel, until its top meets the anti-tipping bracket. We confirm it still does.
Power
A grounded 15 or 20 amp, 110 to 120 VAC circuit. The cord leaves 5 inches off the floor with 98 inches free.
Neighbors
Columns set closer than 4 inches apart need the side-by-side kit, which brings its own wall heater. We check it was fitted.
Water
The ice maker line needs 40 to 90 psi and a shut-off valve. Then we test the fault itself.
